The flowers are still
About
The act of giving flowers—how curious it is. To extend one’s hand, plucked from the heart and wrapped in paper. Out of love, yes—always love. Whether it be love that soars or love that falters, love that asks forgiveness or love that aches for recognition. We give flowers to plead silently: Love me. In giving a flower, we ask to be held, to be seen, to be loved in return.
What happens to the flowers when they wilt? Their beauty folds inward, and their fragrance turns faint and bitter. They dry and they crumble—left to the soil or the bin, their purpose was spent. There's a beauty in the impermanence, in the courage it takes to offer love that may not endure.
